That the cuisine of Thailand is one of the best in the world is not a secret. (Mamma non preoccuparti: il tuo pasticcio al forno sarà semper il mio piatto I prefer!). But it is undeniable that Thailand eats luxury. And above it is cheap! Be it the spicy curries or the aromatic soups, or the dishes of noodles, rice, vegetables, meats, fish or desserts ... all-all-everything we love!

But… What to eat in Thailand? What are the richest specialties? What dishes should you not stop trying? So that you do not go more lost than Marlyn Manson in a concert of Nena Daconte we will take a walk through the best Thai dishes:

PAD THAI

Perhaps the most loved dish for tourists: these are fried noodles with eggs, sprouts and soy sauce, chicken or shrimp or tofu and seasoned with peanuts, chili, lime and sugar. If you want to learn how to do it at home, see how it is done.

KHAO PAD GOONG (FRIED RICE)

Another great classic: the rice is sauteed in the wok with onion, vegetables, soy sauce, egg and the ingredient you choose (chicken / pork / shrimp / tofu ...). We love it, especially if it is seasoned with lime. And if you get tired of rice is the version with noodles hehe.

TOD MAN (FISH CAKE)

They are cupcakes made with fish, curry paste, lime and spices. They are usually quite spicy.

TODAY TODAY (OYSTER OMELET)

Some tortillas with oysters, coriander and pepper ... very rich!

KAI MUANG (CHICKEN WITH CASHEWNUTS)

Another delicious dish: chicken with cashew nuts sauteed in wok with soy sauce and vegetables.

TOM YUM GOONG (SPICY SOUP WITH SHRIMP)

It is the most famous Thai soup: shrimp, tomato, chili, lime, onions, mushrooms, lemongrass. Slurp!

GEANG KEOW EAN GAI (GREEN CURRY CHICKEN)

It is a chicken and spice curry stewed in coconut milk, super good but itchy eye!

MASSAMAN CURRY

It is a Muslim dish and our favorite curry because it does not bite hehe, the sweet taste of coconut mixed with spices and a peanut aftertaste. If it's chicken with fancy potatoes!

PAD GRA PAO GAI KAI DAO (BASIL CHICKEN)

Rober does not have a very good memory of this dish…. I can't reveal the secret, maybe another time! It is a dish of spicy chicken with basil and chili. It stings a lot (for our taste) It is usually served with rice and egg. You can also substitute chicken for pork, shrimp or cuttlefish.

SOM TAM THAI (GREEN PAPAYA SALAD)

Strips of green papaya with tomatoes, lettuce, dried prawns, peanuts and chili.

PAD PAK BUNG FAI DAENG (MORNING GLORY)

This is a dish that shocked us a lot, not so much for its elaboration since it is only spinach sauteed in oyster sauce ... but because in many places it was served for breakfast. It is also perfect as a side dish of meat / fish dishes.

STICKY RICE HANDLE

The star dessert, how good it is, to suck your fingers: it is mango with sticky rice filled with coconut milk, so sweet mmm!

And if you've been wanting more, sign up for these dishes:

  • PLA NUNG MANAU (Steamed fish with garlic, lime and chili)
  • TOM KHA KAI (coconut soup with chicken)
  • PAD PA RUAM MIT (fried vegetables with oyster sauce)
  • KHAO MAN GAI (White rice with chicken)
  • HOR MOK MA PROW AWN (Seafood Curry in Coconut Sauce)
  • KAI JEOW MOO SAAP (Omelette with pork)
  • GAI PAD KING (Fried Chicken with Ginger)
  • KHAO NEOW MOO PING (Grilled pork with sticky rice)
  • HUAY TEOW LUI SUAN (Thai rolls with herbs)
  • LARB MOO (Salad with minced pork)

Do we leave some fundamental dish? What is your favorite Thai dish?
