After kicking Montreal from top to bottom, you'll be tired and hungry. Don't you think you deserve a good treat? We are sure so, so next we will recommend you 8 restaurants to eat in Montreal (good and cheap), to recharge the batteries (or rather, gain a few kilos).
A restaurant legendary where to try one of the Montreal's best poutine. It opened in 1968 and since then delights the palate of who enters. Although on the menu you can find different dishes, if you get here it is to try one of the most common recipes in Canada: poutine. They are fries with cheese and meat sauce, but there are variations ... specifically here there are more than 30 different poutines. Prices: from 7.75CAD.

Good place if you feel like fish & chips. The quality is very good and the prices are right: a plate of fried fish and chips costs about 14CAD. They also offer craft beers that, really, come in very well, especially if it's a summer day.

We were recommended to come here by some guys from the hostel where we stayed and it was a great success: good food at more than affordable prices. Tooodo costs 5.95CAD! As you can imagine, they are not gourmet dishes, but we were quite surprised at how delicious everything was and the portions are generous. There are varied dishes: from burgers and sandwiches to fried squid and pierogis (oops, how delicious they are!). Come on, one pass site! Beers cost 7CAD.

Oh, as we like Japanese food, so whenever we can we put on our boots with their dishes. In this place it is very easy to do it since the prices are very cheap: there is gyudon, oyakodon or curry for 5.65CAD (the large bowl) and bentos for about 5-7CAD. Perfect take away for when the weather accompanies or if you want to eat at home!
